Ingenious & Enterprising Women is a programme that empowers women in STEM roles to take control of their professional development and careers. The programme was founded by Janet Wilkinson and Sara Shinton and it has run four times in previous years at the University of Edinburgh. Due to the success of the programme, it is now national and Ingenious Women Scotland ran for the first time in 2018.
The programme is open to all women working in STEM roles in Scotland, from any organisation. The programme consists two separate parts:
- Networking events around Scotland. These are open to all to attend and require no applications.
- Three residential weekends between April – June. Places are allocated via an application process.
The programme is supported by the Scottish Funding Council and CanDo. It is run jointly between the University of Edinburgh and the University of Glasgow.
